I learned about Tenkara fly fishing last summer from Yvon Chouinard himself who has spent a lot of time exploring this style of fishing.  He so kindly helped me to get my own rod set-up by sending me some line and tips.  Fireside time tonight getting the rod geared up (made my own knotted leader for the first time) and ready for fishing.
Maybe it’s just in America, but it seems that if you’re passionate about something, it freaks people out. You’re considered bizarre or eccentric. To me, it just means you know who you are.
